One day as I was sitting in silence connecting within myself and feeling attuned to the spirit of place on Lady Rainbow, Creativity Goddess Ix Chel’s island, Cozumel, Mexico these messages poured through me onto the page. They are gentle reminders to all of us that nourishing a relationship with ourselves and our divinity is how we begin to tap into an infinite source of divine creativity that is our birthright and cosmic inheritance.

One of the greatest gifts we have to share is ourselves. These affirmations will activate an awareness that will restore the sacred to your self-care to help you sustain your energy and inspiration through these shifting times. By being open, present, and curious as you say them, I encourage you to notice how your heart, body, and soul responds. Your inner riches await you - may you delight in their rediscovery!

 SACRED SELF-CARE VOWS

divine declarations

Sometimes I hear people say I’ve used positive affirmations, but they don’t work. Along my journey, I’ve discovered that they do as long as you are aware of a few simple things.

Self-care as I see it is about strengthening the relationship we have with ourselves, being our own best friends, and in that way we can give to others what we’ve already been giving to ourselves.

Here are…

3 SIMPLE SECRETS TO POSITIVE AFFIRMATIONS THAT WORK

  1. Daily Practice

Saying a positive affirmation only a few times is like exercising only a few times and expecting a whole new body. Setting a timer, adding a pop-up on your phone, using post-it notes on your mirror, and saying them when you wake up in the morning and when you are going to bed at night are ways to check in with yourself while establishing a new pattern.

  2. Clean Out the Mental Clutter

Every day whether we realize it or not we are constantly repeating certain thoughts - many of which are not drawing into our experience more of what we truly want. When we use affirmations regularly these overwrite the old thoughts and internal messages. The more we consciously say them to ourselves the more these messages are strengthened.

  3. Your Energy Needs to Match Your Words

Your emotional state influences your tone of voice. Each emotional state carries a different frequency. Slower moving energetic frequencies are denser emotional states such as frustration, anger, and impatience. Faster-moving energetic frequencies are lighter emotional states such as peace, love, and joy. This is why going through the motions and just saying the words is not enough. Aligning your emotional state with the expression of your words matters.
